I have worked with multiple families in my area, looking after multiple children, the most at one time being five. I have to be quick on my feet and well-versed in observation. This has allowed me to become a more observant person as well as good at quick problem-solving.
I have demonstrated multiple skills, including:
I am a waitress at the Hawkley Inn currently. I work there part-time currently and I am dedicated to at least two shifts a week, which will change soon now that I have completed my exams. I work both behind the bar serving drinks, and also in the kitchen, dropping food and putting orders in. I have also worked for a short period in the kitchen in the dessert section, plating and serving desserts.
I have gained multiple skills for this work experience including:
Attention to detail / Observation -
Having worked with the children, I am now a very observant person I am always observing things to be done and people to help My experience in hospitality has also contributed to this skill
Communication -
Ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment
Teamwork -
I work collaboratively with others, contributing to a supportive and productive team atmosphere I find it to be extremely important to have strong relationships with those you work with, as it helps to bring a more positive and productive work environment, ensuring everyone is comfortable and happy
Working under pressure -
I thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining professionalism and composure during peak hours This comes from my experience in hospitality, sometimes having to serve 90 covers in one shift with a team of three other people
Organising / Time management -
I am skilled at prioritizing tasks, multitasking in busy settings, and meeting deadlines efficiently I have learnt this over the course of my education as well as in a professional work environment
