Patient-oriented Dietitian with experience in direct patient care either through working or through dietetic placements. Skilled at multitasking and prioritising patient needs and daily assignments. Offering expertise within my oncology speciality, but also through previous range of experience working in acute wards. I also have had a lot of paediatric exposure and learning through previous dietetic placements.
Although I am a Dietitian, traveling and volunteer work has always had a place in my heart. With my previous experiences and my eagerness for future projects, I hope you will consider me to be a valuable member of your team.
Enthusiasm for dietetics also extends outside of my job. For example, I volunteered for a charity called ‘Food Is Fun’ in Plymouth, where I would give educational health talks to primary school children and one-to-one or group cooking classes for families in food poverty.
I have also written an article titled 'What I eat in a day: a social media trend' for the NutriTribe newsletter. This focused on whether it is doing more harm than good to its viewers. I also wrote an article for Valley News, outlining health myths and why it is time to ditch diet culture.
