Summary

I am a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse with experience offering comprehensive patient care in both a hospice setting and an acute setting.

When looking after my patients, especially in palliative care, I strive to achieve the best quality of life for the patient by providing them with full holistic care, looking at the patient as a whole individual.

I am aware of the psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient, and their families, and am able to support families by developing good relationships with both through empathetic communication, and a respectful attitude at all times.

I believe in good team work and working together, as well as good communication.

I strongly feel working in palliative care is one of the most rewarding professions as I can help patients to manage their symptoms to improve their quality of life, or I can provide and enable them to have the end of life care they wish for, both which are very rewarding.
