  • From the age of 16, I began working in the family's pub business as a waiter. Serving customers at their table, taking orders, and ensuring that they were enjoying their visit. To progress to a management position, it was important to the company that I experienced work in all departments. After six months, I moved into the kitchen. Initially on wash-up and desserts, before progressing to the cook line. I spent nine months working alongside the chefs. After my time in the kitchen, I went back to working front of house. Then, on my eighteenth birthday, I began work at the bar. As I started my work at the bar, I began an NVQ Level 4 Hospitality Management Apprenticeship, gaining a pass in this in May 2025. During the time I was completing the NVQ course, I was promoted to Trainee Manager. Within six months, I was again promoted to Assistant Manager. This role came with added responsibilities.
  • Oversaw daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Trained new employees on company policies, customer service excellence, and sales techniques.
  • Kept bar stocked and organised for easy access and quick service to customers.
