- I demonstrated an excellent attention to detail. I learned this the hard way as it only takes a small smudge on a mirror to earn a bad review.
- I exercised great time management skills under stressful conditions. In particular, on summer weekends when all houses are to be cleaned within the small window of time that exists between check-out and check-in.
- I utilised effective communication skills when interacting with the guests. Sometimes this was pleasant enough when it entailed answering questions or addressing concerns about the house or the local area. However, I also had to handle the awkward situations involving guests who refused to check out on time and then later on apologising to the new guests who then didn't get to check in on time.
