I have trained and also learnt through experience how to communicate effectively with the individuals I have supported. Effective communication has allowed me to build relationships with the people I support and empathise with their needs. I have provided a range of support including but not limited to emotional and physical support. This allowed me to promote their personal wellbeing and allow them to learn and grow. As a support worker, I have been actively involved in maintaining and updating support plans accordingly. I have also carried out health and safety checks to maintain a safe working and living environment.
