Summary

I Have been part of the NHS for over 10 years now, and during this time have worked in varied roles.

From Emergency department, pathology and my current role as a navigator in cancer services.

In my current role a s a navigator, I perform assessments, have a caseload of patients, to offer practical support and to sign post to appropriate services. I often work under pressure and tight deadlines, a lot of times in distressing situations.

My experience working in a busy laboratory environment gave me the experience of being able to work under pressure, and to work effectively within a team.

Communication is a skill I use in my current role, as it is mainly patient facing, as well as being able to communicate to different levels of heal care professionals.
