Whilst working at Marks & Spencer's, I come across many challenges throughout the day.
I am able to manage the day to day operations nice and smoothly while ensuring excellent and consistent 5 star customer service and making sure every customer has the same experience when entering the store.
When days can be tough and there are many obstacles, I am very adaptable to make changes where necessary to ensure that the operation is still running as it should without the expense of poor customer service as that is what is most important to the company.
Within my role of Team Support Manager I am responsible for the opening and closing of the store. when working in the morning I am responsible for ensuring that the team are all working together and giving them the tasks and resources to ensure that for opening we are all ready for customers to walk in and everything be finished. similar to working evenings, making sure that the team who come in, in the morning are all in the best place that they can possible be as it is one big operation.
When working in the mornings, we have to complete a variety of health and safety compliance checks with making sure that around the store is safe and everything works as it should to ensure customer and colleague safety.
Every day compliance checks are completed every hour. these can be from safety checks that we record every hour to ensure that the shop floor is clear from any hazards. another big compliance checks one for our bakery, making sure that every product is labelled with the correct nutrition (Natasha's Law) to ensure that customers know exactly what we are selling and what they are purchasing.
When I am working on the shop floor I am the Duty Manager which means I am always the first point of contact when needed.
I am also First Aid Trained and have dealt with a few medical emergences where have kept the situation from getting any worse and made the situation a calm and panic free environment where surrounding customers feel safe.
I have also carried out many interviews with potential candidates.
My main tasks while working as a customer adviser were making were making sure that the customer experiences were top notch.
My role was to ensure that the customers were able to get everything they wanted and worked hard and fast to make sure that was the case.
My customer service skills are to a very high standard and always aim to give a 5 star customer service.
I also had very strong relationships with our customers new and regular to drive sales and engage with them to help them recommend more people to shop at the store
