Summary
I am currently enrolled in a Full Stack Web Development program at Skills Bootcamps Hampshire by Step8up Academy. In the bootcamp, I am learning Python and Django while continuously improving my skills in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and React.
In the bootcamp, I learned the importance of testing and gained experience in fetching data from APIs, fixing bugs using developer tools and console logging. I also reviewed pull requests, resolved merge conflicts, implemented continuous integration and deployment, used GitHub to track project tasks, and utilized Kanban boards for collaborative work.
Prior to the Skills Bootcamp Hampshire, I completed a Full Stack Web Development bootcamp course at the School of Code. This program provided me with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a simulated job setting. We worked in teams to solve various problems using a variety of software tools and languages. After each project week, we conducted retrospectives to discuss what went well, what could have been improved, and noted actions to ensure we continuously enhanced our skills as we progressed.
During the bootcamp, I worked on a final project with five other bootcamp students. We were engaged to update and improve an existing website for Birmingham Business. Our approach to this opportunity was to work in an agile manner, conduct workshops with the stakeholder, and deliver an updated, accessible, and responsive new website.
With a passion for technology, I have a keen interest in learning new languages and tools. I am looking for a position where I can develop my skills further and add real value in my role.
