• PREPARE THE VESSELS FOR ARAMCO INSPECTIONS
• COORDINATE ACTIVITIES WITH REGULATORY BODIES IN ORDER TO ENSURE REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS ARE AT MINIMUM COST, CONSISTENT WITH SAFETY
• VESSEL INSPECTION AND SUBMIT REPORT TO MANAGEMENT
• ARRANGE SPARE PARTS AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ITEMS WITH LOW COST.
• PERSONAL MANAGEMENT
• MAINTAIN COMPLETE RECORDS OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING MACHINE OPERATIONS.
• PERFORM MONITORING ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT SHIPS COMPLY WITH INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT AND POLLUTION PREVENTATIVES.
• MAINTAIN INVENTORIES AND RECORD USAGE OF SUPPLIES.
• ARRANGE SPECIALIST TECHNICIANS FOR THE VESSELS IF NECESSARY
• ACT AS A LIAISON BETWEEN A SHIP'S CAPTAIN AND MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE THAT SCHEDULES ARE MAINTAINED AND THAT THE SHIP IS OPERATED SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY.
• REVIEW REPAIR REQUESTS AND COMPARE THEM WITH PREVIOUS WORK COMPLETED ON SHIPS IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT COSTS ARE ECONOMICALLY SOUND
