This job and the experiences I have had at Ashley Medical Centre have been life changing. I feel truly honoured that the GP's and Practice Manager took a chance on me at that time and gave me chance to grow within my employment.
I started as a Receptionist 10 years ago, after a career break to be a Mum, it was all very daunting but through the years I have truly found what I want to. I just want to grow and grow within the medical community.
My previous role and current include:
In April 2026 I completed a Level 3 certificate in Phlebotomy with Kingsbridge Training school. I have still currently to complete my 22 hours assessments but they are in progress through my current position the the surgery.
On 8th May 2026 i will complete an HCA Course through Kingsbridge Training School.
I have attached my Phlebotomy Certificate but will hopefully receive my HCA Certificate in a few weeks.
Just a quick brief about myself.
When I was 13 my Mum took unwell with back issues coudlnt walk etc, thats when my skills as a career begin. Iam now 44 and I still care for her.
6 years ago my mother in law was diagnosed with MND, I was trained to clean her peg tubing and learnt to use feeding machines and took on alot of personal care until her unfortunately died a few months later.
My life has constantly been around caring for people, even before I realised its what I wanted to do.
