As shift manager in McDonald's, I have a wide range of duties on a day to day basis. I have a secondary position as the health and safety manager for the Craigavon store, as the health and safety manager I am in charge of maintenance of the fire equipment and ensuring that all fire alarms within the premises are working, ensuring that all fire doors meet health and safety codes, and finally I am in charge of accident reports within the store. This duty includes noting any details of accidents on site including customers, subordinates and colleagues. As shift manager in McDonald's it is my job to take charge of the current shift and write a plan for the day ahead to ensure that food is being served in a timely manner, complaints are kept to a minimum and ensuring various KPI targets such as daily sales, time targets e.g time from placing of order to collection at drive thru window, and estimated sales metrics are being followed to ensure that the business is kept above a specific profit margin on a day to day basis. As manager I have the duty of balancing the safe throughout the day to ensure that no money is going missing. I am also a key holder for the store and have the responsibility of opening and closing the store dependent on the current shift.
