  • I lead the Multidisciplinary CMHT in assessing and managing a large caseload of patients with severe and enduring mental health problems. Most patients are complex and have a range of disorders from Schizophrenia to Treatment Resistant Depression to Complex PTSD and Adult ADHD and Autism.
  • I am Responsible Clinician for upto 10 patients on Community Treatment Orders and Supervising Consultant for MOJ Sections, requiring regular Medicolegal reporting. I sometimes carry out Prison Assessments.
  • I work alongside Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and a host of support staff to provide efficient and holistic diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness. Part of my role is Psychoeducation and Patient-led decision making, with Carer involvement wherever possible.
  • I have excellent communication skills as highlighted by my regular 360 degree Appraisal Feedback reports.
  • I see patients in a variety of settings: Outpatient Clinics, Mental Health Act Assessments, Home Visits and in the General Hospital.
  • I participate regularly in the On Call Rota providing advice to Medical and other frontline clinicians on S136 assessments, emergency assessments in A+E and in the Community.
