- My role in A.B.P was undertaking maintenance on multiple machines on the factory floor, planned maintenance, preventitive maintence, reactive maintenance and installing machines and cables.
- My role changed throughout my time there and I was given the task of working part of a maintenace team with fitters and aligating work to the people among the team. I was given the responsibilty of looking after the boning hall as the main electrican on the floor and trained others into the role.
- I was also put through a 2 year Electrical Engineering degree while in the company, and have qaulified with a batchelor degree from Limerick Intitute of Technology.
- I gained 8 years of experience in this company and have become comfortable with reading electrical drawings and finding solutions to issues that arise.
- I have also got alot of experience in working with cable containment, using benders, making up cable tray and cable ladder to ensure all work was done in a tidy manner.
- In the workplace I also works on pneumatics systems as air was used to change direction of the meat on the lines.
- Tested electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using various testing devices.
- I also used a system called pirana to log all the work I had done, this helped with the preventitive maintenance scheduling and checking track of all events that happened in the workplace.
- I also wired and made panels too suit specific jobs that needed to be done on the factory floor and outside in the yards for irrigation purposes.
