With wide-ranging education employment that began over thirty years ago, alongside my role as a co-franchisee with Subway, I have built people centred careers.
These roles have strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to excellent customer service. I take pride in creating welcoming, positive interactions and in bringing warmth, care and enthusiasm to every conversation.
My belief in the power of books to connect people and build community inspired me to become a teacher. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of teaching children to read in an Early Years setting, witnessing first hand the joy, confidence and opportunity that literacy brings. Supporting readers at the start of their journey has deepened my understanding of how transformative the right book can be.
My passion for reading is reflected through my growing Bookstagram account, where I share thoughtful reviews and carefully curated reading lists. Engaging with a wide community of readers has given me insight into diverse tastes and current trends, and has strengthened my ability to recommend books in an authentic and engaging way.
I would be delighted to bring my literary knowledge, genuine enthusiasm and strong customer service experience to a bookselling team. I am motivated by the opportunity to create a welcoming environment where customers feel at home; where they are listened to and inspired, and where they can discover meaningful and personal connections with books.
