As part of the Musical Theatre programme at Preston College, I was awarded the Emma Wales Award. This award is presented to individuals who have achieved something considered, under the circumstances, to be exceptionally challenging or unlikely to attain.
I received this recognition in acknowledgement of my academic and personal progress after arriving in England with little to no knowledge of the English language. Within four years, I successfully developed my skills and academic profile to the extent that I received five university offers to study Law, including two unconditional offers. These offers included places at the University of Law, the University of Central Lancashire, and Manchester Metropolitan University.
