It was a intensive course highly educationally. I gained my google analytics fundamentals and paid search certificate. Learnt how to use the basics of excel data analytics, programmatic marketing, target audience identification, search engine optimization. My main subject I took was paid search but I also touch a bit on paid socials learning about canvas and the audiences for different add social network platforms.
Also known as pay-per-click) I have learnt how to use marketing strategy that empowers businesses to enhance their online visibility and reach their target audience. With platforms like Google Ads and Discovery ads I as the advertiser had to strategically bid on keywords relevant to their products or services. These ads appear prominently in search engine results when users enter relevant queries, delivering immediate and measurable results. I have learnt how to conduct keyword research, and optimizing campaigns, businesses can achieve their specific marketing goals, whether it's driving website traffic, increasing brand awareness, or boosting conversions. Results: Discovery ads was a higher performance than paid search, users were actively exploring new content that's more visually appealing and more engaging.
Our objective was Increase Brand Awareness. Generate Impressions. Our impressions for discovery was 0.5% and for search 1.4%. Some of our challenges was we was unable to spend set budget due to various factors such as Location, audience, etc. a broader target may have gave us better results. We also had limited location
Lessons: The lesson l learnt was I could have narrowed down the geographic location on generic match type. When checking the analytics we should have put more money in discovery over search
