Started my police career in January 1999 as a response officer working in Hemel Hempstead , primarily responding to 999 calls.
During this time I completed my response and pursuit driving course and later my advanced driving course.

In may 2005 I joined the Armed response unit where I completed a specialist driving course. This covered evasive driving, convoy driving and surveillance driving.
I then completed a rifle course which involved long range weapons and marksmanship.
I then went on to complete the operational firearms commanders course which led me to oversee numerous dynamic and high risk firearms deployments.
in 2012 I joined the Beds , Cambs and Herts dog unit. I then went onto complete the general purpose course and work a number of dogs at high risk deployments.

March 2005 Chief constable commendation for disarming male armed with number of knives.
March 2011 Chief constable commendation and Royal Humane society award for saving the life of a stabbing victim.
April 2016 Assistant chief constable commendation for locating and arresting nine murder suspects.
March 2016 Chief superintendent award for proactive policing and locating and arresting violent robbery suspects.
June 2016 Chief constable commendation for entering a flat that was on fire and saving a victim.
September 2015 Joint protective services officer of the year award for pro-active policing.
June 2016 Assistant chief constable commendation for assisting in rescuing victim from siege in flat.
June 2017 Assistant chief constable commendation for assisting in stopping stolen car with firearms onboard.
June 2025 Superintendents commendation for saving male in process of committing suicide.
