  • Milton Keynes
  • Catapult CP - Milton Keynes
  • In the initial stage I created a needs analysis, which was taken from all relevant project stakeholders and subject matter experts, this was to help us identify specific skills within the business and collate business objectives so the training could be tailored for individual engineers, this would also help me to minimise the impact training would have on the business.

  • I fully led the creation of a bespoke course using Articulate for Oil Engineers and Mechanical Operators using the software designed for scanning the platforms of Oil rigs out in remote areas and specific areas out at sea around the world, along with input from project sponsors, SMEs and stakeholders,
  • I also created and designed an advanced PowerPoint course along with a complex manual which would detail the complicated procedures that the device would achieve, this was suggested by SMEs who were Engineering staff to teach Engineers and operators out in the field.
  • to start this process, I created a very detailed storyboard so that all SMEs, stakeholders and training staff could have a vision of what was proposed and give them a chance to comment on what they would like included in the course.
  • This project was challenging as there was no access to the internet from these remote areas, output to all staff was reached by uploading all material onto a USB stick which was then given to the client and handed out to all Engineers and operators out in the field.
