Carl Cashman

41 years old and have worked within the creative market for the last 15 years as a freelance Artist. I've worked for companies curating and designing Artwork for festivals such as Glastonbury and brands/charities including Daler Rowney and ITV, including everything from set design to large scale murals Internationally.

My main Artwork is geometric in style for which I use acrylic, spray paint and Masking tape. I work from my studio at Digswell Arts in Letchworth and pride myself in my attention to detail, I also recently painted Letchworths first ever permanent mural, which im incredibly proud of as an achievement.

Over the years I've had various forms of employment, construction work including general labouring and painting and decorating. Fitting loft insulation and fruit picking in Australia. Various warehouse roles including picking and packing for WH Smiths and Dyson.

I am currently temping with yourself having started in December with a contract upto Christmas, with my contract now being extended until the end of January. My experience so far with Altro has genuinely been the most enjoyable working experience that ive ever had, its only been 3 weeks but I feel like I fit in already and really very much look forward to getting to the factory each day.

Everything from my Induction with George to the family atmospere within the company and the opportunities to learn and progress within the company are incredibly positive. Id love to stay with the VAS department if that was a possibility, but if not then id be very keen to be considered for any other roles including general production.

Im currently looking for job which im part of for the next decade, which I grow with as well as the family roots we are setting up in Arlesey where we are currently looking at buying our first home
