I consider myself to have a very bubbly and warm personality. I am a driven individual that offers a strong attention to detail with superior organizational skills. I work very collaboratively in a team to meet goals and resolve challenges with a sound judgment and reasoned thinking. I apply my multitasking and leadership skills in any situation I can. I am a very resilient individual that is up for any challenge and learning new things at all times. I consider myself very patient and understanding. During my time at J.G Ross my work consisted of only a Saturday job to begin with. Along with this role my responsibilities included, food handling, customer service skills, cleaning, money handling and ensuring order in all aspects. Further down the line I was later promoted to a 30 hour contract with bigger responsibilities within my role as a waitress/ shop assistant. The job expected of me was to train those new to the job to ensure they were well- prepared for the job expected of them. I was trusted to open and close the shop throughout all days of the week. This included handling daily operations such as, handling money, trusted with setting alarm codes and using shop key, ensuring all aspects were in order such as prioritizing cleanliness within the building and a high upkeep of food hygiene. I developed strong multitasking skills within customer service, food handling and working well in a team to ensure a smooth operation. I was responsible for managing stock take such as daily ordering for the cafe, date checking and handling food waste correctly. Additionally I performed a high skill of leadership, an example of this is being able to perform a high skill of work ethic in all areas of the cafe whilst ensuring others were doing their job correctly and everything was running smooth. At times I would take on the role as kitchen assistant where I would help with food preparations, organizing and cleaning the kitchen space. Following instructions from head chef and working efficiently to overall deal with a smooth operation!
During my time at Sugar and Slice I was given the role of Shop Assistant/ baker. Within my role I was given responsibilities which included, stock take and organization within the facility, handling food and dealing with food preparations correctly, handling cash till and ensuring accurate transactions. I collaborated well with my team members during busy periods and handles every situation within the public service professionally. I ensured to greet every customer warmly and found it very important to ensure the area appeared friendly and welcoming to every customer. I was also in charge of cleaning the facility properly and up to standard. Enforcing a clean, tidy and well presented bakery to the public eye.
