  • Within the Force Contact Centre at West Midlands Police I was responsible for taking both 999 and 101 calls from the public. It was my responsibility to gather all the information from the caller and deal with this accordingly whether this be sending for dispatch of an Officer or dealing with the incident over the phone by issuing advice, booking appointments or completing reports.
  • I supported, advised and guided victims and witnesses whilst gathering and recording information to help prevent, reduce and detect crime.
  • Prior to moving to the Force contact centre i worked for many years within the public contact officer taking reports over the counter.
  • I used many Police systems such as Connect, PNC, Insight.
  • This was a highly demanding job so i had to be able to work under high pressure conditions.
