I am currently a Solicitor working in the area of commercial litigation. I am looking for a role which will challenge me and allow me to build on my skills. I am looking for a role which I can commit to and progress within. I am passionate about client care, and am looking for a role in which I can build strong client relationships.
I am a solicitor within the Commercial Litigation team in Scotland. I act for private and public entities in a wide range of commercial disputes, including property litigation, contractual disputes and insolvency matters. I am also involved in regulatory and compliance matters, including cross border issues.
I regularly provide clients with advice in respect of data protection matters, in particular SAR requests, court orders in relations to the production of documents (specification of documents and summary applications under section 1 of the Administration of Justice (Scotland) Act 1972 and data breaches.
I have been assisting my senior colleagues with bids and tenders. I am passionate about building client relationships and as such, I have been heavily involved in business development during my time at DWF.
My role involves the following:
I was an associate in the FSDI team at TLT. I primarily acted for banks and other financial institutions in a range of commercial disputes.
I acted in matters in both the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session. I gave advice to clients in respect of matters involving litigation, and other matters such as their obligations to the Financial Conduct Authority, as well as obligations in terms of SAR requests and court orders.
During my traineeship I completed seats in both Personal Injury and Dispute Resolution. During both seats, I was responsible for my own caseload and managing client relationships.
