• Responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing and testing of subsea XTs at High Bay 6 level, is carried out safely, in accordance with quality requirements, on budget and on time. Previously occupied this role in FSM/Full Build and FCM/SPFM cells.
• Manage and lead a team of technicians within a workshop area/cell on a daily basis, by organising and assigning resource to tasks to ensure production targets are met. This includes constant forward planning and dynamic assessment of situations to ensure continuous flow.
• Ensure that myself and the team is utilising the company's in house time booking system (Trident/SAP) correctly to ensure hours are accurately recorded.
• Address any grievances within the team to increase positivity and remove frustration.
• Provide technical supervision and expertise within the team and address any development needs through training and advice.
• Provide a focal point for issues by taking ownership to solve and rectify.
• Report product issues and non-conformances through the company's QN system contained within SAP, to document and prevent re-occurrence of issues.
• Work with engineering support to provide solutions for product issues and non-conformances.
• Attend daily Gemba meetings with management and planning to report and provide updates on project progress in relation to targets. Highlighting and escalating any areas of concern.
• Report any accidents, incidents or near misses to management.
• Provide a clear and detailed hand over process between shifts to remove confusion and ensure seamless flow.
• Attend pre-production design reviews with engineering to remove potential issues and flow-stops by using technical expertise and oversight to highlight and raise concerns before the product enters the workshop.
• Attend post production meetings with engineering to highlight the issues faced and what needs to be addressed going forward.
• Review product procedures to ensure non-conformances are removed and instructions are clear.
• Ensure product documentation is completed to a high standard. Also, ensuring documentation errors are rectified swiftly to prevent any delays.
• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly cell safety checks are completed and any issues highlighted to the correct help chains.
• Ensure and encourage good house keeping standards within the team to align with 5S, in order to optimise and streamline production.
• Perform duties as a Mechanical Fitter by assembling products as per the company's procedures both safely and to the highest quality.
• Increase team cohesion by implementing regular feedback through weekly cell meetings.
• Creating a high-performing environment to drive productivity and quality.

I initially served a 4 year, Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Fitting and Assembly) with the company.

During my apprenticeship, I carried out many rotations in different areas of the workshop to gain experience and knowledge on all aspects and product lines of a subsea XT, such as:

• Assembling subsea XTs from CVB level all the way to final stage, as well any associated tooling/equipment.
• Performing F.A.T. on subsea XTs, flowloops and any associated tooling/equipment.
• Assembling and testing tubing hangers.
• Running and functioning tooling using an HPU.
• Flushing lines and tooling/equipment.
• Final preparation of product before Final Factory Inspection.

Upon completion of my apprenticeship, I predominantly worked on the assembly of the FSM and Full Build product lines, where I have grown to possess a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in this area of the workshop. I have experience working on a lot of first article products, which usually provide many obstacles and issues. This experience has enabled me to use my technical expertise and problem solving skills to create solutions in order to overcome issues. Regularly involved in driving change on the design of products to better meet safety and quality requirements going forward.
