Cameron Smith Mullings

• I’ve been working in retail for over 7 years at JD Sports and developed numerous experiences in retail, like customer service, supervising, being a team player, hard worker, experience being a cashier, teamwork, stockroom. I have faced and experienced a lot in customer service, but still hungry to learn and experience more. I am us to working in a flagship store and have a great understanding of what goes on in and out of retail. I have been a supervisor on the shopfloor and in the stockroom.

Working for BCC has been an incredible opportunity to help fellow citizens of Birmingham resolve and support them with any issues.I have worked for BCC for a bit over 2 years and helped many of our citizens understand that we are here to help and resolve problems.

• When I was at school in year 10, I did work experience

at Sainsbury’s in Selly Oak, where I did all different types of roles like warehouse, customer service, advertisement, office work, shelving products, basic till training, and many more.

• Increased student confidence for future employment through the provision of valuable work experience opportunities.
• Boosted understanding of workplace expectations, achieved by facilitating pre-placement workshops.
• Developed meaningful relationships with local businesses by coordinating student placements.
