Currently working as a dayshift only Shift Engineer until a suitable replacement can be found and trained up at which point I will revert back to my previous role or Similar.

• Manage and maintaining the sites mechanical and electrical assets to ensure smooth operation and compliance with all legislation
• Liaising with sub contractors to ensure site assets are tested and inspected within current timeframe actively reacting to results either by updating the assets service history with current certification or by removing asset from service for repair and maintenance.
• Revising and updating schedules to ensure assets stay in prime condition and with minimal downtime.
• Proactively walking around site carrying out visual inspections and communicating with the end user's of equipment to make sure the asset is being used correctly and performing optimally.
• Putting together packages of work, Gaining quotations and raising Requisitions all within tight budgets and under time constraint.
• Continuing to act as Incident commander onsite for NERO encase of nuclear incident onsite.

• Responsible for a busy facilities team servicing Electrical, Mechanical and Communications within the site.
• Managing operatives and numerous sub-contractors during a dayshift which involves the planning, allocation, supervision and quality checking of work whilst adhering to the strict site procedures and H&S policies.
• Sourcing and ordering of material to achieve best outcomes from a cost and time perspective, ensuring minimal disruption to the task in hand.
• Accountable for accurately recording on the sites IFS work log, the status of all tasks to date and provide a seamless handover with up to date information.
• I hold AP in control status within the site which allows me to perform HV switching and Scottish Power OP 2 and 3 qualifications for switching the sites 33kv incomers.
• Responsibility's include issuing HV permits for QEC Class aircraft carriers, acting as Nuclear Incident Manager in the event of a major incident on site and as Oil Spill Commander in the event of a major oil spill.
• I am required to coordinate response teams and emergency services under extreme pressure, passing over key information and executing the sites emergency procedures.

• I hold a Gold SHE passport and have full site security clearance.

• Part of a two-man team responding to calls to provide Electrical/Mechanical assistance to all site operations as well as planned work.
• Prioritising use of time to ensure maximum productivity I am required to problem solve on a daily basis to minimise down time to any one of the sites many clients which include the Royal Navy.
• Staying cool under pressure whilst having a can-do attitude, helping to achieve optimal outcomes at all times.
• Duties include a very broad scope of Electrical/Mechanical engineering which includes HV/LV Installation, Switching and Maintenance and provide 24 hour assistance to the operation of the sites Goliath crane.

• Managing the refurbishment of pre-medical installation projects which consists of large medical strip outs and refurbishment in preparation for MRI or CT scanners as well as X-Ray machine installations.
• I site manage all trades and external specialised contractors during this time, whilst working to extremely tight and strenuous timescales effectively ensuring best outcomes are achieved.
• During my daily responsibilities I am required to liaise and cater for a varied and diverse clientele from vulnerable patients at various mobility and health levels, consultants, architects to senior engineers.
• I was responsible for all aspects of building and running a successful electrical contracting business, from tendering for contracts, installation designs, maintenance, wholesale sourcing and accounts.

• Making sure any jobs were done to the highest standards, looking after men and sub-contractors, liaising with clients, ordering materials.
• Refurbishment of John Knox House Edinburgh and Heriot Watt University BECS building were a few of the projects I was involved with.

• Running large turnkey medical projects, looking after all trades and programming their duration as to when they come and go to avoid contractors clashing.
• Working within a budget and liaising with Clients/Estates department.
• Worked for 18 months installing generator sites for Scottish water.

• Various electrical tasks carried out at Ocean Terminal shopping centre from fitting lamp posts to wiring the fire alarms in pyro, running trays and conduits.

• Fitting control panels to raise and lower water gates for Hydro Electric in the North of Scotland, wiring and containment on many large M&E projects in the UK.
• Approved Electrician status gained here.

• Learning a wide variety of electrical knowledge from different tradesmen and technicians SVQ level 3 apprenticeship gained over 4 years with AM2 trade test sat and passed first time.
