  • Responsible for a busy facilities team servicing Electrical, Mechanical and Communications within the site.
  • Managing operatives and numerous sub-contractors during a dayshift which involves the planning, allocation, supervision and quality checking of work whilst adhering to the strict site procedures and H&S policies.
  • Sourcing and ordering of material to achieve best outcomes from a cost and time perspective, ensuring minimal disruption to the task in hand.
  • Accountable for accurately recording on the sites IFS work log, the status of all tasks to date and provide a seamless handover with up to date information.
  • I hold AP in control status within the site which allows me to perform HV switching and Scottish Power OP 2 and 3 qualifications for switching the sites 33kv incomers.
  • Responsibility's include issuing HV permits for QEC Class aircraft carriers, acting as Nuclear Incident Manager in the event of a major incident on site and as Oil Spill Commander in the event of a major oil spill.
  • I am required to coordinate response teams and emergency services under extreme pressure, passing over key information and executing the sites emergency procedures.


  • I hold a Gold SHE passport and have full site security clearance.
