I started work for Altrad in July in the stores at HPC but feel like my skills are wasted.

The tasks I undertake are sending things to site, moving things around and using Hilti.

Daily operations on an arable / pig farm

• Maintaining equipment including tractors and implements. This includes mechanics and welding.
• Caring for the animals.
• Dealing with visitors to the farm and showing people around
• Operating heavy machinery including, combines, tractors and Telehandlers

• Cutting and shaping water reed and wheat reed high on various roofs.
• Improved the durability of roofs with a selection of materials and tools.
• Thatch roofing materials to enhance aesthetic appeal of listed properties.
• Working within a skilled team of four employees.
• Learning the correct use of hand tools.

• Early morning to late evening shift work.
• Milking a heard of 700 Holstein dairy cattle.
• Daily use of a JCB agri super Telehandler example stacking straw bales and loading dung spreaders.
• Tractor work depending on the weather.
