• Played a key role in the implementation and go-live of CiA (along with Ezescan), the Council’s new financial management system, ensuring successful testing of AP/AR modules, reconciliation, and data migration.
• Strengthened internal controls over payables and receivables, identifying and resolving system issues related to processing mismatches, processing payments and POs, import from Ezescan and integrations during testing to ensure accuracy and audit compliance. Developed and maintained financial data integrity within CiA, including journal entries, reconciliations, and budget profiling.
• Assisted in the design and testing of new workflows and reporting outputs in CiA along with collaborating with CiA consultants to resolve issues and create smooth workflow processes with minimum errors.

Accounts Payable Management:

• Processed invoices, payments, expense claims and purchase orders with high accuracy in accounts payable systems using Sage Intacct.
• Reconciled accounts, including bank statements, credit card transactions, etc., ensuring up-to-date and accurate financial records.
• Filing and maintaining supplier records.
• Streamlined financial processes by maintaining and updating filing, inventory, mailing and database systems and identifying areas for automation in AP processes.

Budgeting and Reporting:

• Assisted in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, tracking expenditure, and highlighting variances for management review using Sage Intacct and MS Excel.
• Generated detailed financial reports and supported audit preparation by ensuring data compliance and accuracy.

Compliance and Financial Controls:

• Ensured all fund related documents posted on AI Merrill Lynch and Private Bank platform (on-line and printed) (e.g. factsheets, prospectus, annual reports etc.) were controlled, updated and managed centrally though SharePoint.

• Consumer Anti Money Laundering (CAML/Activity
  Monitoring): Compliance with Currency and Foreign Transactions Reporting Act to detect potential financial frauds. Developed and implemented policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with AML regulations and guidelines.
• Conducted investigations on 15+ customer and business Bank Of America accounts and transactions on a day-to-day basis to identify potential instances of money laundering or financial crime.
• Received Silver Award (2019) for meeting high production targets and accuracy in CAML team.
