Calum Currie

Work Experience- I worked with Jones building group for a week, starting from Monday the 20th of April until the 24thof April 2026. During this time, I developed my knowledge, understanding and skills in both plumbing and carpentry, which range from:

- Taking out old rotting floor and replacing all the floor joists and noggins, after we had done this, we used deck tape on the new timber wood to prevent it from rotting again and relid the joists and noggins with new plywood

- Changing a shower head

- Tightening a radiator valve

- Unblocking a toilet/drain

- Changing kitchen taps

- Replacing a piece of wood behind a toilet so it can hold its weight against it and not fall over

- Yard work

- Putting new doors up in a house

- Replacing kitchen worktop

-cutting the grass to a high standard

Maintained clear boundaries by effectively using a strimmer to keep paths and fences tidy.

- keeping the grounds tidy, ensuring that there are no potential risks of danger and harm

During my time at Chilton Bridge school, I helped the site manager with many different jobs around the school which included.

-Taking apart and rebuilding furniture

- Going out of sight to a variety of different shops to get the right tools and equipment
