Callum has an active interest in giving back to his local community over many years.
Callum was actively involved in the setting up the Honest Men Trust, an Ayr United fan based community organisation in 2003 holding roles of Chairman and Project Coordinator. These Ayr United community projects include a Player Fund which raised money for YTS contracts, signing the likes of Scottish Internationalist Craig Conway, as well as helping fund first team players for then Ayr United Manager Campbell Money to secure first team players like Graham Brown from Cowdenbeath in 2004.
Off the back of the YTS programme Callum was one a small working group that explored the possibility of returning a youth development programme to Ayr United which had been disposed of during the current ownership regime at Somerset Park.
In 2005 the Honest Men Trust were instrumental in bringing together the formation of the Ayr United Youth Academy, bringing together other partners in the Ayrshire & Arran NHS, Ayr College and Ayr United. The Honest Men Trust provided sponsorship to the Academy Under 19's in 2008. The Honest Men Trust took a place within the Academy Board on it's formation with John Dalton serving as a Director until 2010.
Callum then served on the Ayr United Youth Academy Board, as a Trust representative between September 2010 and March 2012.
Callum then focused on local community work within his local village of Dalrymple coordinating two years of successful Gala's and organised Firework Events between 2013-2015 which were the first in 20 years in the village. Callum served on the Dalrymple Parent Association and Dalrymple Community Council until 2015. These best practices were shared by Callum with other local community groups, for example Maidens and Kirkmichael, with the planning blueprints used to return Galas and Firework events to other local villages after many years of absence.
From 2015 to 2024 Callum has ran very successful social media fan based content for the Glasgow Clan ice hockey team gaining almost 7,000 followers and providing match updates, news, blogs and vlogs on YouTube.
With the optimism around Somerset Park Callum has this season started a new social media fan based channel called Super Ayr, putting out Ayr United fan based content which includes a new YouTube Channel with currently around 900 followers and growing.
