  • During the first and second lockdown, I worked in various support roles at the NHS Nightingale hospital in an acute COVID-19 ward as well as in intermediate rehabilitation settings.
  • As a porter and cleaner, I assisted with the admissions and discharge of patients, cleaned wards and toilets for infection control purposes and washed uniforms for my team.
  • Whilst I progressed into a more patient focused care role, I assisted patients with personal cares, mobilising, providing food and given general overall holistic care to patients which may just need a chat and a hot drink, whilst keeping in line with dietary requirements, completing documentation such as property logs, and reporting to patient relatives about their progress and update.
  • This experience working in an intense, patient-focused role with other lead nurses has ignited my passion to learn more about patient care with the hopes of one day becoming a senior Nurse.
