• Manufacture of aircraft sub and main assemblies complete to strict tolerances and customer specification whilst following the specified manuals, job card and engineering drawings
• Participated in continuous improvement by generating suggestions, engaging in problem-solving activities to support teamwork
• Measured parts using callipers, gauges and micrometres to confirm adherence to quality standards on final inspections.
• Aligned aircraft components precisely using layout, jigs, templates and fixtures.
• Working end of line to complete inspections of finished wings before being delivered to the customer and repair and reassemble any major faults found
• Working with composite materials and disassembly and assembly of composite components to be NDT

My main roll as an apprentice at spirit was to learn as much as possible in most areas of the business throughout my 3 year apprentice program. My week was split between college and work placements to learn all the skills to manufacture aircraft wings to very high industry standards.
