Over the last decade I have refined my skills as an engineer and love pushing myself to learn new aspects of engineering. The purpose of this role is to ensure the quality, longevity, and serviceability of Pascoe vessels.

Within this roles some of my responsibility's are as followed

  • Inspections & Sign-off - this requires me to thoroughly look throughout the tender making sure that the build quality is up to Pascoe standards.
  • Factory Testing & Trials: - this would see me sea trial all tenders and record all engine data for comparison between similar vessels, making sure that the tender has been used as they crew of a superyacht would intend to use them.
  • Continuous Improvement Feedback - This would see me liaise with design or production on issue that occur on builds figuring out a way on how we can reduce them or rectify them.
  • Aftersales Surveys - Survey refit vessels and provide detailed defect lists and recommendations to the Aftersales team for quotation and client proposals.

Within my role of fit out coordinator, I helped oversee 5 different departments, with over 50 guys in them.

Daily tasks include, dealing with management on cost and time scales, trouble shooting issues before they became a problem within the build, upskilling the newer members of staff, making sure that the projects were on time and on target, assisting the project managers with client acceptances and taking the tenders out on sea trial for factory and client acceptance.

I project managed two of our first Lifeboat Limousines from a shop floor prospective, daily tasks included

  • Liaising with department charge hands on work load and expected outcomes for the week ahead.
  • Speaking with sub-contractors and organizing times for them to visit.
  • Liaising with our design department on build issue and rectifying them to keep production running.
  • Project risks and feasibility, identifying issues and proactively implementing solutions.
  • Being involved with client visits during the build, talking through progress and managing changes throughout the build.

Engineering Charge Hand

Within this job role I was solely in charge of the engineering department, daily tasks were as followed

  • Organizing labour throughout our tenders.
  • Teaching of all new staff members.
  • Overcoming any issues on any of the builds and finding the best way to overcome them.
  • Pay and performance reviews of all engineers.
  • Making sure all relevant engineering documentation had been collected and filed correctly.
