I am 16 years old and i have always been more hands-on than academic—Didn’t thrive in a traditional academic setting but I gave my best in the subjects I enjoyed and that felt relevant to my interests. I've consistently had a strong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in, even if I haven’t yet found a long-term job that’s the right fit for me.
In the meantime, I’ve been gaining valuable experience by helping out with family members’ work, including bricklaying, carpentry, and vehicle maintenance. These experiences have taught me practical skills, how to work as part of a team, and the importance of reliability on a job site.
I adapt well to different working environments and enjoy meeting new people. I’m confident, sociable, and communicate easily with others—whether that’s on-site, in a workshop, or just day to day. I’m now looking to take the next step into a more permanent role where I can learn, grow, and prove myself as a dependable member of the team.
Unfortunately my time at the army was only short because i got medically discharged for 12 months, but whilst i was there i learnt many skills and got taught strong discipline and was put in a steady routine.
I regularly assist family members with various hands-on jobs, particularly in bricklaying and carpentry Whenever I have free time and there is work available, I help out on-site with tasks such as preparing materials, measuring and cutting wood, mixing cement, and general labor duties This experience has given me practical skills in construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions closely in a team setting
In addition to this, I completed work experience at a vehicle mechanic shop, where I gained valuable insights into the basics of vehicle maintenance and repair My responsibilities included assisting with oil changes, tire rotations, and organizing tools and equipment I continue to help out at the garage whenever they need an extra hand, further developing my technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
