Caitlin Flanagan

In this leadership role that I currently possess, I have to be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the room and ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children. I oversee planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework, support and mentor team members, and maintain high standards of safeguarding and health and safety. I have built strong relationships with parents through effective communication and I ensure all children’s developmental progress is up to date and their milestones are documented. I also enjoy contributing to a positive, collaborative nursery environment.

In my role as a nursery nurse, I supported the learning, development, and overall well-being of the children. My role involved creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where each child could explore, play, and grow. I helped with daily routines such as feeding, changing, and settling the children, while also leading engaging activities that support the different ranges of development. I supported the room leader by following their direction, contributing to planning and observations, and helped to ensure the room was clean, organised and ran smoothly.
