Accomplishments

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion for Sanofi Waterford.
  • Manager of one of the foremost lyophilisation laboratories, providing technical and people leadership to the Sanofi Lyophilisation Centre of Excellence. We support multiple sites across the global Sanofi network. In addition to overseeing the publication of multiple papers in highly reputable scientific journals.
  • Development of manufacturing process for a key biologic in the Sanofi clinical portfolio utilising novel small scale approach utilising only 2 Liters of material. This led to a significant cost saving compared to a traditional technology transfer and reduced the program timeline by ten months.
  • Leading the development and introduction of a novel biopharmaceutical identity method which has the potential to save over 15,930 testing hours, freeing up 8 headcount for other activities and saving over €900,000 worth of drug substance material, based on forecasted demand.
  • Introduction of internal testing program for foreign particles detected in sterile biologics, significantly reducing process cycle time for key products in the Sanofi portfolio and reducing external laboratory costs by one to two million euro annually.
  • Providing technical and program leadership to the rapid redevelopment of the manufacturing process of life saving biologic medicine following a failed process performance qualification. This extremely accelerated program allowed us to avoid out of stocks in multiple markets and got this critical medicine to patients, who have no alternate treatment options.
