
Subject Development Officer with expertise in curriculum implementation and continuous refinement. Leads staff training initiatives, enhancing teaching and learning standards across school community. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for students through effective stakeholder engagement.
As Subject Development Officer and member of the Senior Leadership Team at my current job I fulfil but not limited to duties- lead in curriculum implementation and constant refinement form the whole school, lead in teaching and learning for the whole school, maintaining standards as set by the trust; coordination of a team of subject leads, including the delivery of training for more established colleagues and also new starters; quality assurance of activities in classes looking at WWW and EBI with a view to improve quality of teaching and curriculum delivery; attend and lead EHCP reviews, MDT teams, Pathway meetings, Transition planning meetings, Behavior Management Plans reviews meetings, PEP meetings, CIC meetings with families/carers and other professionals aiming for best outcomes possible for our pupils; daily management of school operations together with the rest of SLT, coordinating timetables, staff deployment, support with behavior management in classes; perform PPDR meetings for colleagues to raise and maintain standards and also to give colleagues opportunities to develop their careers. Alternate Safeguarding Lead and Online Safety Lead - as part of the Safeguarding team, discuss and deal with any concerns raised, liaising with pupils, colleagues, families/carers, social workers, MASH team and more to safeguard pupils, families and also colleagues’ best interests. As ADSL and OSL, I also deliver training for Online Safety and GDPR for the whole school.- Phase management - I also oversee a phase of 6 classes at the moment, acting as class teachers’ and class teams’ line manager, supporting and advising, maintaining standards, quality assuring documentation, tasks and also documentation to be used for meetings and before sending to LA.- There is an element of teaching in my role and I teach/cover in KS3/4 class contributing for weekly planning and assessment as required. EVC for the whole school - receive, review and approve visit application forms and risks assessments, in line with trust policies and curriculum embedment .- Other tasks such as collating school's newsletter and sending it to parents; as Online Safety Lead and being tech savvy, I work closely with our IT company to address breaches and safeguarding matters. Also follow their direction to support staff daily with any simple IT issues as the company only spends a day on site.
Since this academic year I am also the Duke of Edinburgh Award verifier for the whole school.
