I am a positive, self-motivated, and adaptable individual who works effectively both independently and as part of a team. I am a committed and fast learner with strong creative, technical, and practical abilities, supported by excellent communication and organisational skills. I have eight years of experience within the aerospace industry, specialising in the fabrication of pneumatic systems and progressing into a Primary Operator role within wing system. This experience has strengthened my technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
As a full-time Fabricator and Primary Operator at GKN, working primarily within the Tinsmiths Titanium Cell while supporting other areas when required, I have developed strong teamwork, communication, adaptability, and accountability skills. I contribute to team meetings, share ideas, accept feedback, and focus on continuous development through my PDPs, while building positive and supportive working relationships with colleagues. I hold B Stamp privileges, allowing me to inspect and certify my own work as well as work completed by Q-Card holders, ensuring all parts meet the required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. I am also responsible for databasing parts for X-ray inspection and certifying jobs through their final production stages, demonstrating my ability to take ownership of my work, apply my technical knowledge, and effectively manage the movement of parts to ensure production requirements and customer delivery commitments are met.
I completed a three-year apprenticeship across multiple fabrication areas, including Press Shop, Coppersmiths, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and Titanium. This experience developed the technical skills, knowledge, and adaptability required to become a fully qualified Aircraft Fabricator. During my apprenticeship, I achieved both a Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace Engineering and an HNC qualification, further strengthening my technical knowledge, problem-solving, organisation, and time-management skills. I also gained valuable experience in communication and leadership through supporting students during workplace visits and providing workshop tours.
I progressed from Crew Member to Crew Trainer and ultimately Shift Manager, gaining extensive experience in customer service, team leadership, training, and daily restaurant operations. Responsible for maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and customer service, while supporting stock management and store opening procedures. As a Crew Trainer and Shift Manager, I developed strong leadership and communication skills through coaching and supporting team members, training new employees, managing shifts, and ensuring the efficient running of the restaurant.
