I have spent almost 9 years working within secondary education. I started as a Teaching assistant back in 2017 where I worked 1:1 with students who presented SEND or SEMH needs. I then moved on to become the Numeracy Intervention Coordinator, where I would create groups based on data and run numeracy intervention lessons. I was the support staff Safeguarding Governour from 2019-2021. I then had a small break between schools and worked as a planning administrator. I really enjoyed this role and picked things up quickly. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay long due to risks of redundancy. I then started at a different school in 2022, where I started as a Behaviour Support Assistant. I would monitor behaviour inside and outside of the classrooms. Picking up and helping to regulate often heightened students who may have had an issue in their lesson. I then moved on to become a Cover Supervisor, where I cover lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. Last year, I taught PSHE to years 10&11. I have my own tutor group of years 7-11 who I see every morning. I have been on 3 residential camping trips with the school. I am really keen to start a new challenge. I am a very dedicated person and will not settle unless I believe I have achieved the best possible outcome. I have excellent IT skills and have had various experiences using different online platforms. I can pick up new systems quickly and efficiently and I am a very fast learner. I strongly believe I have a lot to offer and I would love the opportunity to prove it.
