Brogan Donaghy

• 1 week of work experience when in Primary 7 at the Hut Nursery.

As a member of the Crown Plaza Hospitality team my responsibilities are varied and require me to work in a large team but also act independently depending on my role that day. My responsibilities range from room setup for the events held at the establishment, serving meals and clearing the tables professionally to enhance the dining experience, manning the the cloak rooms ensure customer belongings are looked after with care, table wear preparation so we have adequate cutlery and crockery for the evening and overall cleaning during the shift which is highly important.

• I was elected by my fellow pupils in our House to act as Council and represent them.
• This role entailed, attending meetings regarding School issues around the cost of the School day, any education issues which arose and would effect pupils and holidays.
• I would also present speeches to the year at particular events and assemblies.

• I have had 10 months work experience working in Dellos Fish & Chips in Burnside.
• This was primarily customer facing role so I was taking orders from customers, handling money and also preparing orders too.
• I also had experience working in the back of house which was primarily future preparations of food.
• I was working 3 to 5 days a week after school and weekends so I have a good appreciation of what hospitality is like across the week at different times.
