Summary

I am a Dynamic Teacher with strong classroom management skills demonstrated through 10+ years of classroom experience. I feel I am a Caring Teacher demonstrating skill in strategic classroom management and effective discipline. I consider myself a dedicated SpLD teacher with knack for making learning exciting and enjoyable. I am Motivated by the belief that all children can be successful learners. I have spent 10 years of experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering wide range of subjects.I feel I am Highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. I have been Successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills. I am a dependable Teacher Committed to providing students with the necessary tools to achieve academic goals, instilling love of learning and cooperative teamwork. Adept in application of excellent communication and problem solving skills.

I have spent the last 10 years adapting the curriculum and delivering a high quality education to pupils with a range of need including; Downs Sydrome, ASC, ADHD, ODD, MLD, SpLD, SAL difficulties, DCD, Dyscalculia, Selective mutism, MD, cerebral palsy, Cornelia de lang sydrome, PICA and Dyslexia. I have honestly enjoyed teaching everyone of the pupils I have had the privilege to be assigned their teacher. The greatest love in my job, in watching the confidence and joy it gives a child when they learn to do something for themselves.

I am empathetic to the difficulties parents and teacher face when appp attempting to create the right learning environment and correct level of provision for a child with additional needs. I have experienced th working with the local authority to access provision as a teacher and as a parent. My daughter has additional needs and EHCP and I completely empathise with the wave of emotions this can cause as a loved one.

I am looking for an opportunity to widen my knowledge and experience in working the children with additional needs. I am keen to learn and advance my own practice. I would relish the opportunity to be able to observe and study the practice of others in this profession; as well as wort work within a team of people with similar belief hat this is the that teaching within SEN is the best job in the world.
