In my role as a Tellmi Support Peer, I provide empathetic and informed responses to anonymous posts from individuals seeking support for mental health concerns. This platform allows users to share their experiences and seek advice on a range of topics including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and more. My responsibilities include:


  • Responding to Anonymous Posts:Engaging with users by addressing their mental health queries and concerns through thoughtful and supportive replies.
    Utilizing the CHIME framework (Connectedness, Hope and optimism, Identity, Meaning in life, and Empowerment) to structure responses, ensuring each interaction promotes a sense of belonging and support.
  • Promoting Mental Well-being:Reminding users that they are not alone and emphasizing the importance of seeking support from friends, family, and professionals.
    Assisting individuals in visualizing what 'being okay' looks like for them, thereby fostering a personalized understanding of mental well-being.
  • Encouraging Personal Growth:Helping users to identify their goals and aspirations beyond their mental health issues.
    Encouraging self-exploration and helping individuals recognize their identities outside of their struggles with mental health.
  • Skill Application:Applying psychological principles and frameworks to real-world situations, enhancing my practical understanding of mental health support.
    Developing strong active listening skills and the ability to provide empathetic, non-judgmental feedback.
