I started my IT career in Operations, progressed to Programming in Software Service and Manufacturing Companies with all that is required in the full DLC to become the competent, reliable, trusted and dependable Consultant that I am today.
My background in ERP covers a variety of ERP products with responsibilities covered managing software development, the full DLC, testing through to application support. I am very comfortable working with customer management and users at all levels (blue collar and shop floor) and can help/advise in all business areas.
My work is a mixture of consultancy, support and historically development, working within services and at some point, freelance. Currently working directly within manufacturing companies, I find my experience across many industries has helped me gain valuable knowledge in manufacturing. My most recent engagements include migrating legacy systems to ERP, upgrades, data conversions across platforms, project work, development, application training, general support and business requests. I work well in teams and independently with all the associated levels of responsibility using a variety of Mythologies. Coming from a development background I am very familiar with the full DLC on all projects, working with 3rd party suppliers and internal developers with much of my recent time providing ERP Application consultancy. Working in all departments, I have become fully conversant with Supply Chain, Ordering, Shipping most of Finance and Manufacturing, EDI and connections with Customer Supplier data capture. I can manage and provide day to day operational support and training with confidence, manage new implementations and provide guidance on upgrades. My main areas of expertise cover many years of ERP mainly Mfg./Pro (QAD) but also others at all levels and versions of product from consultancy within specific modules to managing projects to database maintenance, supporting user's day to day, fixing problems to analyzing new requirements and software development.
I worked for a while for Symix (Syteline), managing the development team on new implementations and upgrades as well as several Syteline freelance clients. I work as an Analyst / Consultant, with Business and Technical skills in my most recent Automotive Industry Manufacturers providing QAD support locally and several European facilities on EDI, customizations i.e. Labels, Eagle (RFX), Browses changes to meet the requirements of our Customers/Suppliers including JLR, Honda, Nissan, Renault & Toyota. My CV reflects many roles working as a contractor and shows I have been lucky to return on several occasions to support other projects.
I am actively looking for opportunities that match both my experience, background and passion within services or manufacturing. Ideally permanent but will also consider long term/fixed term contracts.
Active supporter of Aston Villa FC attending home games where possible. I also like to play golf at many of my local clubs. My main activity is to pursue Paragliding and as a member of the Malvern HangGliding Club I am one of several club coaches. This sport has enabled me to fly at my local club sites along with many other sites in Europe.
