Multitalented Junior Developer with experience in software development. Demonstrated proficient skills in VBA, VB.NET, HTML, CCS and Python. True team player with strengths in adaptability and accuracy. Willing to use pre-existing skills in programming to learn new programming languages if needed. Microsoft Technology Associate certified.
Development work that involved manipulating the 'back-end' of the Microsoft Office program Excel this was done by using the hidden developer tab included in most office programs and coding in a programming language called ‘Visual Basic for Application’(VBA) thankfully I had worked with VB.NET in college so I initiated myself to the language quite quickly and within the first four weeks I was already working on client based projects for the company this helped me feel more like a full team member rather than an apprentice, working on client based work meant that I had to get focused and deliver work to a professional standard also interacting with clients via email as well as the company directors. Whenever a new job would arrive, I would be added to the conference call given the job specification and was tasked to compile the job briefing into a task manager outlining the steps the job would take to be completed. The task manager app we used called Trello was important to the work flow of the company as it was shared meaning everyone in the team could view every job, we had ongoing so it was crucial that the information was concise but informative, whenever the project would advance the task manager would update a progress bar as well as show the deadline helping everyone in the company manage their workloads.
Software Development
I have always been interested in technology since a child with fields like software and hardware gaining my up most appreciation as I was introduced to them at a young age, this fondness increased with the discovery that I enjoyed studying and learning about computer systems both software and hardware. Many members around and in my family are in the IT field so my role-models helped inspire me into IT.
I was a level 3 BTEC student I studied at Oldham College in Level 3 Software some of my studies include software development, web programming, games development and software graphics. I enjoy learning about programming as coding and controlling computer systems makes me appreciate Information Technologies. The courses I do helps me further my knowledge and Programming in IT as it is mostly software based, I have learned about: Controlling Systems, Software and Web Design, developing games using Visual Basics and many more units. The majority of the Units are software based however we do also learn about Hardware so I do also understand aspects of Controlling systems and understanding computer systems.
I then took an apprenticeship as a junior developer which furthered my skills in applying what I had learned and currently learning into actual projects and jobs for real clients using a language called VBA that manipulates certain things in most Microsoft Office applications. During my weeks in college as part of my apprenticeship I have learned foundations in Java, SQL, ASP and other coding languages. At University I studied languages like JAVA, C++ and PHP. Recently I completed a 3 Week coding course focused on Python, HTML and CSS
In my free time I also enjoy music creation and try and understand the production that goes into creating a song as a result of this Hip-Hop instrumentals has become one of my favorite genre as incorporates/samples many forms of music like Jazz, Blues, Rock and Roll and many genres.
