Having moved countries from South Africa in 2021, I have had to navigate a lot of big changes and integrate into a completely new culture and school system. I feel this has made me stronger as a person and taught me how to be resilient, open minded and how to persevere.

Focused and eager to learn, with a proven ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and adapt to diverse challenges. I'm eager to apply acquired knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems in a practical, hands-on setting. Trainee Technician - Year 10 Work Experience

I was given the opportunity to conduct my year 10 work experience with EcoHeat from 07 - 11 July 2025. It was a very valuable experience as I gained some insight into the daily operations of a Gas, Heating and Plumbing Technician. I shadowed the owner of the company and a senior technician on several customer site visits to assist with inspection, maintenance and repairing of diverse types of equipment , under close supervision, such as maintenance checks on boilers, helping with the installation of new pipes, unblocking of pipes etc. The whole experience was enriching as it allowed me to:

*Observe and learn safety protocols and enhanced workplace safety.

*It enabled me to improve my equipment functionality by performing routine maintenance checks and maintaining a clean work environment and allowed me to gain practical skills whilst assisting senior technicians with various tasks.

*Allowed me to witness and learn about communicating effectively with clients to understand their requirements and keep them informed at all times

*Taught me to follow detailed instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and to ask if I am unsure of anything.

* Allowed me to exercise punctuality and be aware of time management
