Brayden Ablett

I am a motivated Physiotherapy undergraduate with a strong interest in becoming a commercial pilot with Jet2. Through being a Type 1 Diabetic, healthcare placements on my course, and customer-facing roles, I have developed clear communication skills, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to problem-solve and remain calm under pressure. I aim to become a commercial pilot through the Jet2FlightPath scheme which will give me the opportunity offer my advice and guidance on aspiring type 1 diabetic pilots in the future.

Trial Flight — Anglian Flight Centre

• 30-minute flight in a Robin HR200/120B aircraft
  I gained first-hand experience to aircraft handling through take-off and landing procedures.

Often asking questions regarding techniques used and looking to gain understanding behind treatment choices. He had a good presence in the room, engaging with each patient and has shown some of the basic essential skills required for a career in Sports Medicine.'

• Completed Level 4 Sports Massage Qualification, enabling assessment and treatment of sports injuries
• Recognised on the Dean’s List for Excellence for academic performance and engagement
• Successfully managing Type 1 Diabetes, demonstrating exceptional discipline, planning, and resilience in daily life and high-pressure environments
