During my employment at Gear4music, I worked in a few different areas of the warehouse fulfilling distinct tasks, for example, item picking, order packing and operating the end of line. All of these roles required certain skills to ensure correct completion, since items in storage had a specific multi character code corresponding to them, paying close attention to small details was an important part of identifying the correct items when picking. Teamwork, communication and fast responses were also very important, specifically when I was operating the end of line, there would be blockages on the conveyer belt at times, being at the back of a trailer made my awareness of this potentially impaired, so listening out for others letting me know of an issue with the belt, acting fast after being notified and working with others to resolve the issue quickly was crucial.
