Brandon Elms

The three years I have worked so far at Turner and Budd have been a good experience for me. I personally worked in the workshop of a garage, sometimes working in the showroom.

• Deep clean the workshop, removing dirt and oil stains to create safe and hygienic work conditions for the mechanics.
• In the showroom I had to create clean, safe and presentable conditions for staff and customers.
• Trained to operate a Tennant T5 Scrubbing machine to assist in cleaning.
• Manage rubbish, sorting between recyclable materials and non recyclable.
• Learned to operate as a team efficiently, splitting tasks when needed and helping those who needed assistance and ensuring we did not take longer than necessary.
• Learned how to maintain toilets, cleaning them thoroughly, making sure soap and sanitiser was restocked.
• Lock up the building, making sure gates and doors were shut and locked and taught how to activate the security systems when leaving.
• Dealt with chemicals such as Viro-Sol and bleach.
