Work History

Sales and Events Assistant

Zinge Industries
03.2023 - Current
  • I handled inquiries over emails about products which were relevant to what Zinge produced.
  • I was responsible for helping organize Zinge's stall at Salute which is Europe's biggest wargaming event which was held once every year in the ExCel Centre, London.
  • I worked in close proximity with the Director of the company Gareth Watson to ensure the sufficient running of sales and events with Zinge.

Constituency Casework Assistant

Rt. Hon. Katherine Fletcher
01.2021 - 07.2024
  • Assisted caseworkers in managing high caseloads, prioritizing tasks for optimal time management and productivity.
  • Provided administrative support to caseworkers by handling phone calls, emails, and scheduling appointments as needed.
  • Maintained confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to IPSA regulations and organizational policies.

Throughout 3 years I voluntarily worked in Katherine's office intermittently dealing with a wide range of things which involved aspects of casework and the use of relevant IT systems.

It involved observing and taking a direct role in helping develop community relations in regards to an MP's role whether that was with groups like the NFU to groups representing BAME or other minorities.

A large part of the role was also about ensuring timely replies to casework and liaising with fellow team members to ensure that the Westminster office was also in lockstep with those on the constituency side of things.

Archive Assistant

Lancashire County Council
06.2023 - 08.2023
  • I managed data entry tasks on a daily basis with acute attention paid to detail and accuracy of the information entered into databases.
  • I worked closely with other team members to help develop and maintain a user-friendly database for simplified access to any archived materials.
  • I was also very pleased to play a part in the Archives program of digitalization which involved uploading historical data be it pictures or documents to the Archive website so it could be accessed from anyone using the internet.

At the Lancashire Archives I had first hand experience in the handling and preservation of Historical documents and the processes which this entailed from restoration right through to storage as all of these aspects are tightly controlled when it came to documents of historical and cultural importance.

I was taught the aspects of keeping an organized and tidy work space due to the limited office space and close proximity to former colleagues.

I also learnt the process of managing an inventory of items, in the Archives case these were documents and sometimes items which were kept and regularly checked which I played a role in.
