I am a motivated and passion-driven person who has gained targeted and meaningful experience along with invaluable, practical and theoretical skills attributable to Aircraft Maintenance activities.
I have performed supervised Maintenance activities on a variety of Aircraft types including BAe 125 Series, BAe 125 Series 1000, BAe 125 Series 750/800xp/850xp/900xp, Bombardier CL-600-2A12/2B16 (601/601-3A/3R Variant), Bombardier CL-600-2B16 (604 Variant), Embraer EMB-505 and EMB-500. Participation in Base, Line and AOG Maintenance Activities.
During my time as an Apprentice at JETS, I gained many experiences and skills. I gained familiarity working in and amongst various types of Aircraft and viewed different sides of the business and how they interact with one another. I improved my hand skills through the completion of different tasks such as Main Landing gear wheel changes, removal and reinstallation of panels before and after inspections, and Safe jacking procedures on different types of Aircraft such as Challenger 601/4/5, Phenom 300/E, Hawker BAe 125 Series and 1000. I also have been involved in engine changes which included the teardown and build-up of an Engine. Engine work I have carried out includes Igniter inspection and functionality test, Fuel filter replacement, oil filter replacement, Inspection of the fuel pressure transducer sensor, and an inspection of the Oil filter impending bypass switch. By carrying out all these various tasks I have gained competence in navigating various programs such as Textron AMM, Pratt and Whitney EMM, Bombardier AMM, and Embraer AMM/EMM. Additional Programs that I used in conjunction to complete tasks are CAFAM and AIPC from various manuals.
I have been involved in various marshalling tasks such as Arrivals, departures, safety man for low-power ground runs, high power ground runs and pressurisation tests.
So far in my Apprenticeship with JETS I have finished all my Level 2 competencies, Passed all of the Modules we have covered so far, and completed EWIS training, Fuel tank safety training, Human Factor Training and First Aid Trained.
In this role, I worked in the Fruit and Vegetable team but moved around to support other departments when required. During my time spent working at Tesco, I developed an understanding of stock layout and stock rotation which gave me insight into waste management and stock replenishment.
I worked 6 am to 3 pm Thursday to Saturday but due to staff being off with COVID I often covered shifts and did overtime when required. In this role, I developed customer communication skills and time management which were useful during peak times of the day.
In this role, I carried out the packing of Christmas orders, following special requests made by the customer and adjusting the orders. This involved organising large freezer units and receiving deliveries and rotating the stock for effective storage.
